120mm Fan In Plexiglass Computer Window Mod

This video shows how I cut out a hole for a 120mm fan on a plexiglass case window. I didn’t have access to a CNC machine and was just trying to use the tools available. This method takes a couple of tries to get it right but you can make a good hole this way for the DIY Modder.

PC Case Mods! – Cutting Plexiglas or Acrylic for Side Window

In my last video i showed you how to cut a window out of steel, so in this video I’m going to show you how to cut the acrylic to put in the new window you cut out! Make sure you use something similar to a dremel so it does not chip the material. I used a high speed air cut off tool which spins fast enough to just melt it so nothing gets tore up. Feel free to comment further suggestions. Please subscribe to my videos

Fabricate Plexiglass for Fun and Profit

I use plexiglass for a variety of projects. In fabricating my pieces I’ve used traditional methods such as flame polishing and using fine sandpaper. These methods can get you through basic, straight cuts and there are lots of videos on the subject. When drilling holes or making irregular cuts I’ve found that by using some creative techniques you can make virtually any shape shine like a diamond. Speaking of diamonds, I don’t use diamond router bits, diamond polishing bits or no melt saw blades. These tools would speed up production time (which is mostly spent polishing). I use regular shop tools and they have given me the results seen in the video. If you are looking for a unique hobby you might want to consider making things with plex. It takes a while to learn but it’s worth it. It also takes patience and resolve. When you complete a project you will have a piece that looks like its make of crystal. Don’t show anyone else though – they will take it! Let me know if there is any interest in my techniques. I might publish them. Ken
